"Fashion works in a cycle, with three main stages 'Rise' 'Peak' and 'Decline'.

There is also recurring cycles where Fashion Designers draw inspirations from past
and the nostalgic looks from 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s & 80's  are interpreted  in a new
and unique way."

With the vintage trends back in 2012 due to the interest in environmental
sustainability in terms of reusing, recycling and repairing rather than
throwing things away, I drew my inspirations from the 50's and 60's "The Retro Style".
But with the trends and vintage looks all over the place I wanted to go with something
fun and youthful, so I turned to the all time favorite vintage comic "ARCHIES".

I decided to take the characters and their personalities and use the trends in season
to create the perfect style. It was aimed as an Editorial for teen magazines in the
form of a comic strip to capture the nostalgic feel of the comics.

It was exciting to see that MAC in spring 2013 took inspiration from the comics too
and presented a MAC Archie’s Girls Collection.
